I think alot of people got the definition of 'Just be yourself' wrong when they want to stand out from the crowd

Let us try an exercise here to prove my point:
At what stage of your life did you try to be different?
What did you then start to do? What, where and who did you start paying more attention to?
Were there a sharp contrast in your behaviour between your personal life and social life?
Finally, were your interests and lifestyle really an interest or just a phatetic attempt to impress?

I know i'm half guilty of the last question myself.. But at least i'm not tt bad
Sure in some eyes you might stand out from others, but posers, are really just empty vessels. You might have a slight edge over fashion whore Wyman from Hong Kong when it comes to music, but fashion wise, many including his counterparts have to bow to him. That is what people with real passion about thier interests set themselves apart from a masquerader. The difference between a master and a jack of all trades.

I've heard so many stories of people get turned off after they get to know the party whom they have interests in. I have experienced it myself. Plus, it is straight off obvious to anybody that have eyes if you are a poser. You can put up a front, but you cannot change who you are. Sure, you can download the coolest mp3s into ur PSPs but you have a secret fetish for rick price while ignorant about who's eric prydz; so why go through that effort to forge a thousand lies just to cover one.

Stay true to yourself. Sure, you are a Jedi Knight, but if you do find someone who really loves you, at least you know they truely love you for who you are. If you do.
